The plate is a flexible piece of metal which is slightly curved, and measures approximately 13 1/2″ by 10 1/2″. We have not seen many other cover printing plates through the years, and a classic early 1980’s DC plate from the original run of “The Weirdest Western Hero” is particularly rare. Please note that the title lettering, as well as the rest of the imaging is in reverse, since printing plates have the image reversed from how it will look once the final product is printed. There is a slight bend/dent at the top left corner. There is also rusting on the reverse side, mostly at the top and bottom right side, which is fairly common on these types of plates. This is a very cool and rare comic collectible that you will hardly ever get a chance to see.
