Curtiss Company in San Francisco during the late 1940s, then becoming a freelance illustrator in 1948, primarily in New York City. Smith had a broad range of work, including book covers and commercial/industrial artwork for such clients as International Harvester, Chrysler, Ford, ESSO, Chevrolet, Mobilgas, Coca-Cola, Lionel Trains, & much more. ILLUSTRATION ART, such as the work of Charles Smith, was widely disregarded during the first half of the 20th century, but today, illustration art has become highly collectible and sought after by collectors worldwide! William Campbell Gault (19101995) was an American writer. He wrote under his own name, and as Roney Scott and Will Duke, among other pseudonyms. He is probably best remembered for his sports fiction, particularly the young-readers’ novels he began publishing in the early 1960s, and for his crime fiction. He was a wide-ranging contributor to the pulp magazines, particularly to the sports pulps, where he was considered one of the best writers in the field.
