This is a black and white production art cover on regular thin paper stock, and is blank on the reverse side. Please note that while the art is printed, the signature and date on the left side margin is signed by hand by the legendary Joe Kubert. The cover features a classic image of Frank Castle, with artwork by the legendary Joe Kubert. Kubert is one of the greatest artists of all-time in the history of comics, having begun his career in the Golden Age, and gone on to become one of the most legendary Silver Age artists at DC. While he is best known for the classic D. War titles of the 1950’s and 1960’s, Kubert also did classic work on many other titles, including Hawkman, the Brave and the Bold, Showcase, Tarzan, Superman, Batman, the Flash, and more. But without question, his most well-remembered work was on DC war titles such as Our Army At War, Our Fighting Forces, Star Spangled War Stories, and G. This is a very rare time when Kubert’s art has appeared on a Marvel book! The piece measures approximately 8 1/2″ by 11″, and please note you should be able to see in the scan that it was printed slightly unevenly at an angle.
