Wallace was a prolific writer, one of his most famous books was King Kong. This illustration was for the cover of one of his thriller stories translated into Spanish. This illustration is by a very well known Spanish artist Jose Bocquet who illustrated many pulp novels. The watercolor artwork is on heavy paper & attached to a black card. It measures 8″ (20 cm) x 7″ (18 cm) & is in good condition but does have a brown mark located on the bridge. This could be removed by a professional paper restorer.
