Original Robert Stanley DELL Map-Back Cover Artwork (1950) Colorful & Vibrant! Original Robert Stanley cover art to the Dell paperback NO MOURNERS PRESENT by Frank G Presnell. Medium appears to be oils and gouache on a thin 2-ply board which was once mounted on a thicker piece of cardboard. Old rubber cement stains on the reverse do not affect the image. There is a very tiny nib out of the lower left corner and two faint creases/bends evident at the lower corner of the woman’s dress. The model for the woman was Stanley’s wife who appears on a number of covers from this period. A copy of the published book accompanies the artwork. Measures about 9 x 13 with image running edge to edge. This is one of about 40 original cover paintings we will be offering for sale over the next few months.
