This piece of original art is by Mark Nelson, who illustrated the first Aliens series for Dark Horse comics back in 1988. The series came out when Dark Horse still published comics in black and white only. Many consider Mark Nelson to be “the” Aliens artist when it comes to the comics industry. This piece is SIGNED and is on a piece of 9″x12″ art paper and depicts one of the Aliens guarding the eggs. It reminds me of in the film when Ripley enters the nest to rescue Newt. It’s an absolute must for any Aliens fan or Dark Horse fan. There is a tiny rip in the lower right corner of the piece of paper, but it does not affect the art in any way.
